Arta Finance Review 2026: Fees, Private Funds, Structured Notes and What the Filings Show

Arta Finance is a wealth platform for accredited investors, run by an SEC-registered adviser in California and a MAS-licensed affiliate in Singapore, with BNY Pershing as custodian. It manages ETF portfolios for 0.10% to 0.50% a year and offers third-party private funds and structured notes it designs, for an Arta fee of about 0.5% to 1% on top of the products' own costs. Its filings show $153.4 million of regulatory assets under management at the end of 2025, no disciplinary history and no private fund advised by the US adviser. Arta provides the private funds' terms, fees and results inside the app after sign-in; AltStreet did not access them.

What the data actually shows - TL;DR

Arta Finance sells three things to accredited investors: managed ETF and stock portfolios, access to private funds run by other managers, and structured notes it designs and has banks issue. Three questions frame it.

Read the full assessment

Who holds the money: BNY Pershing holds client accounts as custodian and is Arta's only broker; Arta Finance Wealth Management, LLC is an SEC-registered adviser with no disciplinary events, and Arta Wealth Management Pte. Ltd. holds a Singapore Capital Markets Services license. What it costs: 0.10% to 0.50% a year on managed portfolios, and about 0.50% to 1% on private funds and structured notes on top of the products' own fees; on drawdown funds Arta charges on the full commitment during the investment period, and in Singapore a structuring fee of up to 1.50% can sit inside a note's terms.

What can be checked: the adviser's filings and fee tables are public; each private fund's terms, fees and results are in an investment memo Arta provides inside the app after sign-in, which AltStreet did not access. The US adviser reports $153.4 million of regulatory assets under management at December 31, 2025 and no private funds advised. Arta's marketing has described '100s of millions in AUM' and 'tens of thousands of members across more than 40 countries'; those figures cover different dates, entities and measures and cannot be reconciled to a filing.

$153.4M

Regulatory assets under management at December 31, 2025, all discretionary, in 1,091 accounts for 1,043 clients (Form ADV filed June 25, 2026); private fund holdings and self-directed products are not counted in this figure.

0.5% to 1%

Arta's own yearly fee on private funds and structured notes, on top of the products' fees; for drawdown funds it is charged on the committed amount during the investment period, whatever has been called.

None

Private funds advised by Arta's US adviser (Form ADV Item 7.B). The legal vehicles and sponsors behind the feeder funds and the 2025 Private Credit and Private Real Estate funds Arta describes could not be identified from public sources.

115

Structured notes Arta has listed since October 2023 (77 on the US site, 38 on the global site), issued by banks Arta does not name note by note.

1

Realized performance record published: Defensive Growth returns for one 'sample representative client account' per risk level to March 13, 2025, not a composite of all accounts.

None

Enforcement actions, regulatory disclosures or court cases located for any Arta entity or named executive in the sources searched.

Assets, client counts and the custodian's holdings are from Arta's Form ADV. Listed holdings are from Arta's 13F-HR information tables. Fees are from Arta's brochure, Form CRS, pricing pages and the Singapore agreement. Membership, performance and product claims are Arta's own and unaudited. The private fund figures for Bain Capital GSS 2022 (A) are from Bain Capital Credit's Form ADV and the fund's Form D.

Quick Verdict

Is this platform right for you?

Arta Finance is a regulated, low-cost manager of ETF portfolios with no enforcement action or disciplinary event located and a large custodian, alongside private funds and structured notes whose documents Arta provides after sign-in. Its own fees are clear; total costs depend on fund fees and note terms AltStreet could not review, and some marketing wording is looser than its disclosures.

Best for

  • Accredited investors who want managed ETF portfolios at Pershing and are willing to assess each private fund or note from its own documents.

Avoid if

  • You want fund-level fees and track records before opening an account.
  • You do not want an extra yearly fee on uncalled commitments.
  • You rely on marketing figures rather than filings.

Top strengths

  • SEC-registered adviser and MAS-licensed affiliate with no disciplinary events located.
  • Client assets at BNY Pershing; Arta has custody only through fee deduction.
  • Managed portfolio fees of 0.10% to 0.50% a year, stated consistently in the brochure and pricing page.

Key limitations

  • Private fund terms, fees and results are provided only after sign-in.
  • Arta's fee on drawdown funds runs on the full commitment during the investment period.
  • Some site wording (SIPC 'insured', '9X', fee-waiver length on pages captured in 2026) is looser than Arta's disclosures.
  • No composite performance record; returns shown for one sample account per strategy.

Overview

Platform Overview

A concise read on what the platform is, how the structure works, and where the practical friction shows up for real investors.

Arta Finance Inc., a Delaware company founded in 2021 as Arbo Works by former Google executives, owns the adviser Arta Finance Wealth Management, LLC (Mountain View, California; SEC-registered since April 2022) and Arta Wealth Management Pte. Ltd. (Singapore; MAS Capital Markets Services licensee). US persons sign the adviser's Investment Management Agreement; everyone else contracts with the Singapore company, which serves accredited investors outside the United States.

Accounts are opened at BNY Pershing. Clients can hold managed portfolios (robo, Defensive Growth, Income Bonds, a Treasury ETF 'High-Yield Cash Reserve', direct indexing), choose private funds from a list approved by Arta's investment committee, buy structured notes Arta designs, or run listed options strategies. Arta also sells its software and AI tools to banks and wealth firms.

It added structured notes in October 2023, Arta AI in April 2025 and an institutional business selling its tools to banks. Felix Lin, a co-founder and its President and CFO, became Group CEO in early 2026; Sengupta remains on the board.

Investor Operations

The practical questions investors actually care about: when tax documents arrive, how cash distributions work, and whether capital can be exited before the underlying asset is sold.

Tax Documents

K-1 Timing

What to expect

Depends on each private fund.

Cash Flow

Distributions

Frequency

By product: fund distributions on manager timetables; note coupons per term sheet.

Timing

Not reported in public.

Consistency

No composite or fund-level record published.

Liquidity

Exit Reality

Holding period

None on managed portfolios; private funds locked by fund terms; notes to maturity.

Exit options

  • Withdraw managed portfolios.
  • Early redemption of notes at the issuer's value.
  • Redemptions from evergreen funds at the manager's discretion.

Secondary market

No secondary market for private fund interests or notes through Arta.

Investment Structures

Managed portfolios

Discretionary ETF and stock portfolios at Pershing, traded at market close; 0.10% to 0.50% a year.

Private funds

Third-party funds chosen by the client from an approved list; Arta fee about 0.50% to 1% on top of fund fees; minimums from $10,000 or $25,000 depending on the page.

Structured notes

Notes designed by Arta and issued by banks after an auction; coupons and protection depend on issuer credit and underlying assets.

Risk

Risk Structure

This is where the marketplace pitch gives way to the actual operating reality: delayed exits, limited disclosure, fee drag, and path-dependent outcomes.

Custody

BNY Pershing holds client accounts; Arta has custody only through fee deduction.

Private funds

Third-party funds documented in the app after sign-in; Arta's fee sits on top of fund fees.

Structured notes

Bank credit risk and barrier risk; Arta designs the notes and charges on them.

Regulation

SEC-registered adviser and MAS-licensed Singapore company; no disciplinary events located.

Reporting

Filings and fee tables public; no composite performance; fund reporting comes from each manager and is shown in the app.

Fund terms behind sign-in

Fund fees, terms and results are provided after sign-in and could not be reviewed here.

Why it matters

Total costs, fund reporting and outcomes cannot be compared anonymously, and AltStreet cannot check them.

Mitigation / verification

Ask for each fund's investment memo, the underlying fund documents and every fee layer in writing before committing.

Fee on commitments

On drawdown funds Arta charges on the full commitment during the investment period.

Why it matters

Early years of a fund carry the full Arta fee on money that has not been invested.

Mitigation / verification

Compute Arta's fee on the commitment for the investment period and add the fund's own fees and carry.

Structured note risk

Coupons and protection depend on the issuing bank's credit and on underlying assets staying above barriers.

Why it matters

Notes can lose principal and may be hard to exit before maturity except at the issuer's price.

Mitigation / verification

Read the term sheet for the issuer, barriers and early redemption terms, and ask whether a structuring fee is included.

Marketing scope

Size and membership figures on the site use different scopes from the filings, and some product wording (SIPC 'insured', '9X') is looser than Arta's disclosures.

Why it matters

Marketing figures are a weaker guide than the filings.

Mitigation / verification

Rely on the Form ADV, Form CRS and agreement; ask Arta to reconcile any figure it quotes.

ASRisk signals to watch

  • A Form ADV listing private funds advised by Arta, or Form D filings by Arta-sponsored vehicles.
  • Publication of fund names, fees or performance outside the app.
  • Changes to the fee base on drawdown funds or structured notes.
  • MAS investor alerts or enforcement, once the pages are available.
  • Any new broker-dealer affiliation.

Regulatory & Legal Posture

Security Status

SEC-registered investment adviser (US) and MAS Capital Markets Services licensee and exempt financial adviser (Singapore).

Arta Finance Wealth Management, LLC has been SEC-registered since April 8, 2022 (CRD 318714) and reports no disciplinary events. Arta Wealth Management Pte. Ltd. is listed by MAS as a Capital Markets Services licensee for fund management and dealing in securities and collective investment schemes, and as an exempt financial adviser. The registration route of each private fund and note depends on the offering and should be checked in its documents; Arta's structured-products guide refers to the 'legal prospectus of the issuance'.

  • Enforcement: no action located in AltStreet's SEC and FINRA tables, IAPD or BrokerCheck for any Arta entity or named executive; MAS alert and enforcement pages could not be searched.
  • Courts: no case naming an Arta entity located in CourtListener; several individuals were not searched.
  • Broker-dealer: Arta Finance Securities LLC (CRD 326041) was approved in January 2025 for private placements and sold to Corgan Strategic Partners in September 2025, now Alder Securities LLC.

Disclosure Quality

Filings, fee tables and agreements are public and specific at Arta's level; fund-level documents are not public, and several marketing statements differ from the filings.

Custody Model

Client accounts at BNY Pershing; Arta deducts fees but holds no client assets.

Regulatory Backing

Pershing is a SIPC member; SIPC protects against broker failure, not loss of value.

Tax Treatment

Reporting

Form 1099 for brokerage accounts at Pershing; Schedule K-1 or local equivalents for private funds.

K-1 timing depends on each fund.

Income Character

Questions to put to the firm and a tax adviser

Managed portfolios produce dividends, interest and gains; structured note coupons and private fund allocations are taxed by their own terms and the holder's country. Arta's site says Treasury income is 'free of state and federal taxes' on one page and free of state and local taxes on others; Treasury interest is generally subject to federal tax, so this is a question for a tax adviser.

Limitation

AltStreet is not a tax adviser.

Special Considerations

  • K-1 timing on private funds.
  • Tax treatment of structured note coupons.
  • Direct indexing and tax-loss harvesting claims.

Account Suitability

Taxable

Questions for a tax adviser.

Not stated.

Traditional IRA

Editorial View

AltStreet Perspective

The compressed version of the review: what matters, what marketing tends to obscure, and how we would frame the platform for a serious allocator.

Verdict

Arta's regulated base is solid: an SEC adviser and a MAS licensee with no disciplinary history, client money at Pershing and low, clearly stated fees on managed portfolios. What sets Arta apart is the part a reader cannot check from outside. Its private fund documents are provided after sign-in, its fee on drawdown funds is charged on commitments, and its structured notes are designed by Arta and carry the issuing bank's credit risk. The size and reach it markets use different measures from its filings and cannot be reconciled to them. An investor can assess the managed portfolios from the filings; for private funds and notes, the evidence is in documents Arta provides after sign-up, and each should be read for its total fees, reporting and issuer terms.

Positioning

Against Wahed, another SEC adviser with managed portfolios and other products, Arta has no regulatory history but publishes less about its private offerings. Against iCapital and Moonfare, which also give individuals access to private funds, Arta adds an advisory fee layer and its own structured notes.

The Bottom Line

A regulated, low-cost ETF manager for accredited investors with a private funds and structured notes offering documented inside its app and marketing figures that cannot be reconciled to its filings.

Action

Next Steps

If you still want to engage after reading the review, these are the practical next moves that reduce avoidable mistakes.

1

Read Arta's Form ADV Part 2A and Form CRS, and treat them as the reference for fees, minimums and conflicts.

2

For any private fund, ask for the investment memo and the fund's own documents, and add Arta's fee on commitments to the fund's fees and carry.

3

For any structured note, read the term sheet for the issuer, barriers and early redemption terms, and ask whether a structuring fee is included.

4

Ask Arta which funds on the platform have managers that invested in Arta, and whether it is paid by any fund sponsor.

5

Check the adviser's record on adviserinfo.sec.gov and the Singapore company's entry in the MAS directory.
